I’m pretty certain that most of us are taught early in life to be kind to other people. You learn not to say or do bad things to others, because that is exactly how you want to be treated.
But since you are only able to control your own behavior you can not foresee someone else’s bad behavior. And that’s where this weeks mantra comes in.
Do no harm, but take no shit.
People often mistake kindness for weakness and think they can walk all over you and control you. Stand up for yourself and never let anyone treat you wrong.
But don’t let anger get the best of you and lower yourself to their level. There is always a way to get the message across that this kind of behavior is not acceptable and you will simply not take it.
Stand up for yourself always and then keep on showing your kindness and respect – you will always receive it back, thousandfold.
